St. Louis Ranked Nation’s Most Dangerous City

October 30, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

A study of crime statistics says St. Louis is the most dangerous city in the United States. The annual studies are done by Morgan Quitno Press of Lawrence Kansas, which publishes annual rankings of various things. St.Louis was third last year, first again in 2002. Kansas City is the 16th most dangerous city this year. The survey lists Lee’s Summit, a Kansas City suburb, as the nation’s 19th safest city. The rankings are based on FBI numbers. The FBI has discouraged use of its statistics for city-to-city comparisons.
