The St. Louis Blues have started this season 0-3, but that is not even the bad news. Even worse than not having won a game, is losing players along the way. Defenseman Barrett Jackman sprained his left knee against the Kings Tuesday and will be out at least four weeks.

Jackman suffered the injury when he was hit by another player. Jackman left the ice momentarily but returned soon after with a knee brace. The pain appeared to be too much because he only lasted one shift before leaving the ice again and not returning.

Three of the Blues top four defensemen are out due to injuries. Jay McKee is sitting out with an injured knee and Christian Backman has a bum shoulder.
