Another shooting at a school – this time in Missouri. But nobody was hurt. Police in Joplin say a 13-year-old Memorial Middle School student is in custody after he allegedly entered the building with an AK-47 assault rifle and pointed the gun at two school administrators. School officials say the teenager pointed the gun at them, uttered a few words, then raised the gun to the ceiling and fired, breaking a water pipe. The student was convinced to go outside the building, where he put down the gun after being met by police officers. A search of the student’s backpack led to the discovery of a note indicating the boy had placed an explosive device in the school. The school has been closed for the day as police search the building.
