Woman Gets Probation in Chuhuahua Attack

September 28, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

A woman convicted of beating another woman with a dead Chihuahua has been placed on probation. St. Charles County Associate Circuit Judge Terry Cundiff has placed Lisa Hopfer on probation, with a 30-day jail sentence hanging over her if she violates its terms. Hopfer had been found guilty of third degree assault and trespassing for confronting the woman who sold her the Chihuahua puppy which had died shortly after she bought it. Upset about the dog’s death, Hopfer hit the woman repeatedly with a plastic bag that contained the dead dog. The judge has also ordered Hopfer to undergo psychiatric treatment.
