Terrorism was ruled out early as an explanation for the outbreak of E. coli in raw spinach, but the possibility of terrorists contaminating our food supply will be discussed during a special symposium today in Kansas City. The Kansas City division of the FBI is sponsoring the second annual International Symposium on Agroterrorism. It’s taking place at the Crown Center. The Heart of America Joint Terrorism Task Force also is a sponsor. The symposium seeks to draw attention to protecting the nation’s food supply from terrorism. The event is open only to those registered.
