MOHELA Vote Could Face Further Delay

September 22, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

A vote by the Missouri Higher Education Loan Authority on Governor Blunt’s plan to finance $350-Million in college capital improvements could be postponed again. The MOHELA board is scheduled to meet by phone this afternoon to discuss whether to put off a vote scheduled for Wednesday. Three of the seven board members have resigned. Governor Matt Blunt has replaced two. His latest appointment is Randy Etter of Jefferson City, executive director of the Advanced Technology Center in Mexico, affiliated with Linn State Technical College. Blunt has asked MOHELA to sell off assets to pay for his plan.
