Zack Greinke returned to the Majors with the Royals before Tuesday’s game against the Angels. The one-time Royals Pitcher of the Year left the team during training camp to handle some psychiatric issues. Greinke returned to the organization in June and was sent to Class AA Wichita where he went 8-3 with a 4.34 ERA as a starter. He is not expected to start with the Royals but will be in the bullpen for long relief duties.

Greinke reached the Majors just two years after he was the No. 6 overall pick in 2002. Last year, he was 5-17 with a 5.80 ERA in 33 starts.
