A federal grand jury accuses three people of defrauding investors in a Columbia company. The indictment says the three convinced people to invest in a company that was developing technology to remotely manage vending machine inventories and track sales. But the company never developed a product beyond the testing phase. The Attorney General filed a consumer protection lawsuit against the company earlier this year. Last month, a judge ordered more than $2.3 million in restitution be made to investors.
