For more than 12 seasons, Rams fans have seen a lot of player changes. However, in a sport where teams change players like underwear, one of the few constants has been Andy McCollum at center. Sunday, McCollum will miss a game for the first time in 181 contests.

The veteran center tore ligaments in his knee against the Broncos and will be out for the rest of the season. McCollum completely tore the ACL and MCL in his left knee and will wait a few weeks before having season-ending surgery.

The Broncos game was the 97th straight regular-season start for McCollum. He’s been very versatile for the Rams having played every offensive line position except the tackles.

Larry Turner replaced McCollum when he went down and figures to be the starter on Sunday.
