Trent Green should be released from the hospital today, but don’t expect the Chiefs quarterback to hit the field anytime soon. Green suffered a very severe concussion when his head slammed against the turf during the third quarter of the Bengals game.

The two-time Pro Bowl signal caller is scheduled to miss at least the next two weeks and possibly more. Damon Huard replaced Green against Cincinnati and will make the start Sunday against the Broncos. Until Sunday, Huard hadn’t completed a pass since Christmas Eve 2000. Brodie Croyle dressed, but was listed as inactive last week. He’ll be the backup to Huard come Sunday.
