September 11, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

The latest poll of Missouri’s U.S. Senate race gives incumbent Republican Senator Jim Talent a slight lead over Democratic challenger Claire McCaskill. The Wall Street Journal Online-Zogby Interactive survey, conducted between August 29th and September 5th, gives Talent the support of 48.9 percent of those polled, compared to 45 percent backing for McCaskill. In recent months, the Wall Street Journal-Zogby poll has shown Talent ahead by 4 or 5 percentage points. Zogby credits Talent’s popularity among religious voters.
