Mizzou Rolls in Season Opener

September 4, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

Brad Who? Missouri Tiger quarterback Chase Daniel took the first step Saturday in replacing the departed Brad Smith. The Tigers rode the sophomore’s right arm for a record-setting FIVE touchdown passes in their 47-7 drubbing of Murray State.

Daniel completed 23 of 32 passes for 320 yards and wide receiver Will Franklin hauled in four of his quarterback’s passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns.

The MU defense, not wanting the offense to grab all of the headlines, held the Racers to just 150 yards of total offense, including 27 yards rushing.
