Suspects in Festus Killing Nabbed in Arkansas

September 2, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

The suspects in the killing of a 73-year-old Festus man are in custody after surrendering to police in Little Rock, Arkansas. Bill York was found stabbed to death at his mobile home park on Wednesday morning. Police suspected York’s daughter, Crystal York, and her companion, Ryan Gross, of killing Bill York, and began searching for the pair. The two gave themselves up after trying to check into a hospital in Little Rock. The Jefferson County Sheriff says one of the suspects had contacted a family member to say the two were going to the hospital. The family member then contacted the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office, which got in touch with authorities in Arkansas. Plans are to charge the two with first-degree murder.
