Talent Ahead Slightly in Zogby Poll

A new poll of Missouri’s U.S. Senate race gives incumbent Republican Senator Jim Talent a slight lead over Democratic challenger Claire McCaskill. The Zogby Interactive Poll, conducted between August 15th and 21st in conjunction with The Wall Street Journal Online, shows Talent with the support of 49.7 percent of those surveyed, compared to 45.2 percent backing for McCaskill. Zogby notes Talent has a wide lead over McCaskill among male voters.
