Mizzou Golfer Advances

University of Missouri senior golfer John Kelly advanced to the next round of the U.S. Amateur Championship at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn.

Kelly defeated Daryl Fathauer, 3 and 1, in the first round of play, finishing a thrilling comeback with a par on the 17th hole.

Kelly, the 28th seed, moves on to the round of 32 where he’ll tee off against fifth-seeded Eddie Olson. Tee time is set for 8 a.m. today.
