A forensic anthropologist at Kansas State University says bone fragments found in the backyard of a home in Drexel are human. Investigators are back in the yard today looking for more bone fragments while the man who lived in the house there sits in the Cass County jail charged with murder. The Cass County Prosecutor says Michael Shaver claims to have killed seven people, chopped them up, burned them, and to have scattered their remains on his property. Remains have been found from two different people. Testing has not started on the fragments found earlier this week.
