As President Bush says he’ll stay the course with the war on terror, Missouri’s top man on military matter before Congress says it’s time for a new course. West central Missouri Congressman Ike Skelton says the U.S. is slogging it out – too much on its own when it comes to the global war on terror – especially in Iraq. He’s calling for a new strategy to convince other nations that it is in everyone’s interest for them to help out. Skelton gives few specifics as to how to win over the other countries that have been, so far, hesistant to commit the troops and resources that the U.S. has. Skelton says the U.S. was able to convince Great Britain to join in the war, perhaps a similar tactic can be used with other countries.
