Columbia Loses LLWS Game

Columbia’s Little League team has lost its first game in the Little League World Series in extra innings. Lake Charles, Louisiana beat Columbia 1-0 on a sacrifice fly in the 9th inning. Columbia plays Beaverton, Oregon, Monday night in a loser’s bracket game. The Columbia team is only the second Missouri Little League team to make it to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The team from Webb City went to the World Series in 2002.
