The main combatants in Missouri’s U.S. Senate race have agreed to appear at the Missouri Press Association’s candidates’ forum, scheduled for September 15th at Lake Ozark. The MPA bills the event as a warm-up for incumbent Republican Senator Jim Talent and Democratic challenger Claire McCaskill, who are scheduled to appear on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday, October 8th. Libertarian candidate Frank Gilmour has also been invited to take part in the Lake Ozark event. The candidates’ forum is being held in conjunction with the Association’s 140th Annual Convention.
