Rams Win In Linehan’s Debut

August 11, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

It only took Peyton Manning and the Colts seven plays to score their first touchdown of the preseason. Good thing for the host Rams, that was his only series. Indianapolis rode their backups the rest of the way, and St. Louis did a better job of stopping them as they walked away with a 19-17 win.

The ground game was effective for the Rams. Eight ball carriers combined for more than 200 yards. Fred Russell had the longest run of the night, a 54 yard scamper. Backup tailbacks Tony Fisher and Moe Williams each scored touchdowns for the Rams.
