Investigators believe one, if not both, boat captains were drinking when two boats collided late Saturday evening at the Lake of the Ozarks, killing one person and injuring seven others. The wreck killed 40-year-old Linda Driller of St. Charles instantly, according to the State Water Patrol. The Patrol says a 36-foot cruiser with eight on board crashed nearly head-on with a 29-foot, open-bow runabout, with nine aboard. Water Patrol officials say the two boats had left two different night spots on the lake just prior to the wreck which occurred on the lake’s main channel near the Village of Four Seasons.
