One of the world’s largest online betting companies is going to ignore federal criminal charges and a civil lawsuit aimed at stopping its operations in this country. Lawyers for BetOnSports have not appeared for the arraignment of the ocmpany and some of its officials in St. Louis. Criminal charges of mail fraud, wire fraud, and racketeering have been filed. Nobody from BetOnSports appeared at a hearing on a civil lawsuit later in the day.The federal prosecutor is asking a judge to ban the company from doing business in this country. The prosecutor also wants to seize $4-point-5 billion in cash and other property.
