The State Revenue Department hits the road this week to get photo identifications to the estimated 170,000 to 200,000 Missourians who will need them for the November election. The state’s election authority, Secretary of State Robin Carnahan, worries those 25 mobile labs, processing seven people an hour, will be at too slow of a pace to get the job done. Carnahan says it’s too early to say if she’ll file any kind of court action if it looks as though the Revenue Department won’t get IDs to everyone who needs one. Carnahan says she’s also hitting the road this week, going to the St. Louis area, Kansas City, and Springfield today and Jefferson City tomorrow to spread the word about what people need for the Voter Photo ID requirement.
