With the NFL training camp season beginning this month, free-agent cornerback Ty Law is expected to choose a team soon. Law says his first priority is picking a team that has a chance to compete for a championship. He must believe in the Chiefs chances because they are one of the teams on his list.
The former Pro Bowl defensive back has narrowed his choices down to New England, Arizona, Seattle, and Kansas City. Chiefs’ head coach Herm Edwards coached Law with the Jets last season. Both men consider each other good friends. Edwards took a chance on Law when most other teams thought a serious foot injury would heavily hinder the cornerback. Law proved everyone wrong and Edwards right by leading the league with 10 interceptions.
Law has been spending the summer working out with famed track coach Bob Kersee in St. Louis.
