July 8, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

Two St. Louis natives are featured on tonight’s boxing card at the Savvis Center. One is trying to carry-on a legacy, while the other is trying to start one.

Junior-Middleweight Cory Spinks will fight Champion Roman Carmazin in the Main Event promoter Don King is calling the “Gateway to Glory”. Spinks is the son of former heavyweight champ Leon Spinks.

One of the under card bouts will include Devon Alexander, who trains with Spinks and is also a St. Louis native. The 19-year-old Vashon High graduate is scheduled to fight Tyler Zolkowski of St. Josephs, MO, for the 147-pound Youth Championship.
