Royals Stay Hot, Beat Jays

July 8, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

Believe it or not, the Royals are one of the hottest teams in the Majors. Kansas City is 13-5 since Fathers Day and remained among the recent elite annihilating the Blue Jays 13-3. Luke Hudson, starting for the injured Mike Wood, pitched 5-innings of 1-run ball in his first start of the season to get the win.

The Royals look to win their fifth consecutive game against the Jays tonight. As hot as Kansas City is playing right now, it might be to their opponent’s advantage to face them later in the day once the sun goes down.

The responsibility of the winning streak will be in the hands of Scott Elarton, who gets the start tonight against Ted Lilly for Toronto.
