The year end totals for the 2006 Fiscal Year point to strong economic improvement in Missouri. The End of Year General Revenue Report, released by the State Office of Administration, indicates net general revenue collections increased by 9.2 percent over the 2005 Fiscal Year. That’s an increase from $6.71-Billion last year to $7.33-Billion in the 2006 Fiscal Year that ended June 30th. Sales and use tax collections were up 1.8 percent for the year. Individual income tax collections increased 10.1 percent for the year. Corporate income and corporate franchise tax collections rose 28 percent for the year. And, all other collections were up 3.6 percent for the year.
