June 30, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

St. Louis native, Cory Spinks will return to the boxing ring, July 8, in a junior-middleweight title fight against champion Roman Karmazin of Russia. The 12-round main event, being held at the Savvis Center, is being tabbed by promoter Don King as the “Gateway to Glory.”

Several other Missouri-born fighters will be on the undercard. Devon Alexander, St. Louis, will go for the WBC youth welterweight championship against Tyler Ziolkowski of St. Joseph, MO.

Park Hill, MO native, Matt Greer, will step into the ring against Mario Preskar in a six round heavyweight bout.

Middleweight Andy Utterback, Hannibal, MO, is scheduled for a four round fight with Louis Turner of Chicago.
