Fire Marshal Advises Caution with Purchase of Fireworks

June 20, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

Fireworks are now on sale throughout Missouri as all those fireworks tents have popped up in various cities as well as in the countryside. State Fire Marshal Randy Cole says he doesn’t want to dampen anyone’s celebration, but he doesn’t want Missourians to underestimate the power fireworks pack. Cole says warning labels should be heeded and instructions should be read. He adds children should be supervised, duds should never be re-lit, and a water source should be nearby.
