Tourists have a newly renovated Churchill Memorial and Library to visit in Fulton this year. Westminster College undertook a multi-million dollar re-development of the museum as part of the 60th Anniversary celebration of Churchill’s Iron Curtain speech. Westminster history professor Sam Goodfellow says Churchill had many flaws, but was able to transcend them to bring Britian together during the difficulties of World War II. Goodfellow says the Wilderness Years – those years Churchill spent out of government – are key to giving Churchill the perspective he needed to understand the threat Nazi Germany posed to Europe.
