The State Revenue Department and driver’s license fee offices have begun providing non-driver’s license identification cards to Missourians needing photo ID to vote in November. Revenue Director Trish Vincent says anyone who already has a driver’s license, a non-driver’s license, or a U.S. Passport will not need one of these ID cards – it’s those with no photo ID who will need to visit the Revenue Department offices in Jefferson City or one of the 183 fee offices throughout the state. She says anyone wanting to obtain one of these cards will have to bring identification to prove both identity and residency. For those in nursing homes, accomodations will be made to have someone visit to take the necessary photographs. The non-driver’s license photo ID card will be issued free of charge to those who do not currently have a driver’s license. The photo ID requirement is included in the voter identification bill signed into law, this week, by Governor Matt Blunt.
