McCaskill Campaign Takes Down Offensive Comment on Website

June 14, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

The Claire McCaskill for Senate campaign has taken down an offensive comment posted on a blog portion of the McCaskill for Missouri website. The comment criticized U.S. Senator Jim Talent and suggested he be shot. Upon disccovering this posting, the Talent for Senate Campaign contacted U.S. Capitol Police to report a threat. It also sent a letter to the McCaskill Campaign, asking that the post be taken down. Adrianne Marsh, with McCaskill for Missouri, says the comment has been removed. Marsh says this language is not condoned. She calls the event an oversight which will not happen again.
