Investigators Probe Monday’s Light Plane Crash Near KCI

June 14, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

Federal inspectors remain on the scene near Kansas City International Airport, attempting to determine what caused the fatal crash of a light plane Monday evening. The crash of the single-engine Piper Saratoga killed two Colorado men who had made a stop at the Lake of the Ozarks before flying to KCI. Much attention is being paid to a wing of the plane that separated upon approach to KCI. Investigators for the National Transportation Safety Board spent most of Tuesday at the cash site. It will be months before a report is made.
