The Chiefs have many holes in their roster, most notably at backup running back – especially if Priest Holmes retires – and just about every position on defense. The offensive line seems to be the most stable.
New head coach Herm Edwards doesn’t appear to feel that way. The Chiefs agreed on a two-year deal with offensive tackle Kyle Turley. The 6-foot-5 and 300 pound tackle started 95 games in his career but missed the last two seasons with a back injury.
The Miami Dolphins brought Turley in for a try out at tight end after he lost 40 pounds and was listed at 260. The Chiefs expect Turley to play tackle.
Turley last played in 2003 for the Rams and anchored an offense that finished third in the NFL in offense.
