Missouri Senators, Congressmen Praise Military in Killing of al-Zarqawi

June 8, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

Members of Missouri’s Congressional delegation are praising the work of U.S. and Iraqi military personnel who have killed Abu Musab al-Zarqawi – the most wanted terrorist in Iraq. Senator Jim Talent, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, says justice has been served with the death of a person he calls “the monster who was behind a lot of the terrorism in Iraq.” Senator Kit Bond, a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, says this death, “deprives the terrorists of one of their most dangerous leaders.” U.S. House Majority Whip Roy Blunt and west-central Missouri Congressman Ike Skelton – the ranking Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee – have also weiged in, praising the killing of al-Zarqawi.
