When the Texas League All Star game takes place June 20th, the Springfield Cardinals will have four representatives.

The second place Cardinals will send outfielder Reid Gorecki, infielder Rico Washington, and pitchers Stuart Pomeranz and Mark Worrell III to play for the North Division in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Gorecki is the only player to make the All Star starting lineup. He’s hitting .263 with 11 home runs and 34 RBIs.

Washington will come off the bench for the North. The infielder has a .326 batting average with 12 home runs including an inside-the-park homer. While Washington ranks third in both batting average and home runs, his RBI total (50) is tops in the Texas League.

Pomeranz won his first six decisions before losing two straight. His six wins lead the Cardinals and tie him for the lead in the Texas League.

Worrell was named to the roster after collecting 14 saves, good enough for second in the league.
