The State Highway Patrol says it was a deadly weekend on Missouri’s roads. Lieutenant Tim Hull says a total of 10 people died on Missouri’s roads over the long, holiday weekend. Another 183 people were injured in 356 crashes. Hull says the Patrol made 208 driving-while-intoxicated arrests during the three-day weekend. He says speed, inattention, and people not buckling up contributed to most of the problems. The State Water Patrol says it was a relatively calm, but busy, holiday weekend. Sergeant Ralph Bledsoe says the warm weather brought out the boaters in droves, and there were 27 reported accidents with nine serious injuries and two fatalities.
