Senator Touts Legislation Cracking Down on Child Sexual Predators

May 26, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

One of the many bills passed by the Legislature during the recently-concluded session is a bill to crack down on sexual predators. Part of this wide ranging bill – a component dealing with Internet predators – was authored by Senator John Loudon of Chesterfield. Loudon says many of these sexual deviants are now Internet-savvy and are using the Internet to lure children for sexual purposes. Loudon’s provision will implement a program to train law enforcement officers to stop the online sexual predators. These officers will pretend to be children who are leaving themselves open to the sex criminals.
