The Kansas City Chiefs came to terms with four free agents on Wednesday and one them won’t have to travel too far for mini camp. Former Northwest Missouri St. defensive tackle Steve Williams agreed to a two-year deal with the team. Williams would have had a much better shot at getting drafted last April had it not been for a hip and groin injury, which limited him to just five games his senior season. In those five games, he made 31 tackles and had 1.5 sacks. As a junior, he was a unanimous All-MIAA Conference selection with 51 tackles.
The Chiefs also signed wide receiver Terrance Metcalfe (South Carolina St.), who entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Raiders in 2003, running back Derrick Ross (Tarleton St.) and center Rudy Niswanger (LSU).
