Charity Embroiled in Legal Action Will Stop Selling Raffle Tickets

May 16, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

A charitable organization that has drawn a state lawsuit for deceptive practices has decided to stop selling tickets for ongoing raffles. Gateway to a Cure has agreed to stop advertising and selling tickets to three home raffles. Gateway to a Cure claims to raise money for spinal cord research but it’s drawings have been delayed or have not happened because of slow ticket sales. And, the charity has not owned some of the things it has offered as prizes. Gateway also has agreed to free all the cash assets it has collected from ticket sales.
