AmerenUE has a new estimate of the damage from the Taum Sauk Reservoir collapse in December – $73-Million – not including the cost of rebuilding the reservoir wall that failed. It’s Ameren’s first publicly-revealed estimate. The company has filed documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission saying insurance will cover almost all of the damage and liabilities. A second policy would pay for rebuilding the reservoir.
