The Secretary of State’s office has refused to accept two boxes of signed petitions from a group trying to limit eminent domain and to restrict state spending because they were submitted after the deadline. The group, Missourians in Charge, took the boxes to the Secretary of State’s office late Tuesday afternoon, but the Secretary of State says the deadline for filing signatures was Sunday evening.
