The Royals beat the Indians 10-8 Wednesday afternoon. No, it’s not April fool’s. And no, your glasses are not foggy. For the second game in a row, the Royals scored 10 runs and won. The win actually gave them a three game sweep of the Indians and marked their longest winning streak of the year at three games. Half of the Royals 10 wins his year have come against the Indians.

Aaron Guiel homered for the second straight game. Today his solo home run regained the lead for the Royals 9-8 in the eighth. Angel Berroa also homered in the inning to add some insurance.

The RBI duties were not left up to one player. Not even two players. Every player in the Royals lineup drove in at least one run. The only player not to get a hit for the Royals was Esteban German, but even he managed to drive in a run.

Royals reliever Ambiorix Burgos added his usual drama to the game. He balked home the tying run in the eighth. Burgos earned the win retiring the side in the ninth.

Royals starter Scott Elarton only gave up hits in two of the six innings he pitched. The only problem was those hits turned into five runs. Luckily for Elarton, the Royals offense was on fire.

The Royals are hoping their bats don’t cool down on their day off Thursday. They’ll be back in action Friday at the Orioles. Runelvys Hernandez is scheduled to start for the Royals against Kris Benson of the Orioles.
