Missouri National Guardsman Killed in Iraq

A member of the Missouri Army National Guard has died of combat related injuries in Iraq. Private First Class Alva Gaylord of Carrollton was killed on May 5th, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. Gaylord had been a member of the National Guard for about three years, serving as a combat engineer with Company C of the 100th Engineer Battalion. He was 25.
