After losing 12 straight road games to start the season, the Royals seem to have turned it around. Well, maybe not completely. But they have won two games in a row. One of them, Friday, against the World Champion White Sox 5-4.

The game was scoreless through six full innings before both teams scored a run in the seventh.

In the bottom of the eighth, the White Sox scored a run to take a 2-1 lead heading to the ninth. Closer Bobby Jenks came on to close the game for the Sox, but the Royals would not go down lightly. Esteban German (2-3, 2 RBI’s) and Kerry Robinson drove in runs on RBI singles to give the Royals the lead. Jenks’ replacement, Boone Logan, didn’t fair any better. He allowed Matt Stairs to drive in two more runs on a two out single making it 5-2.

The White Sox managed to put up two more runs to make the game close, but it was not enough. Ambiorix Burgos found his stuff just in time to get his fourth save of the season.
