The Springfield Cardinals moved back into a first-place tie with Tulsa in the Texas League’s North Division with a 4-1 win over the Drillers on Sunday. Chris Lambert tossed six shutout innings for the Cardinals. He allowed just two hits and tied a franchise record with nine strikeouts. Reid Gorecki provided plenty of offense for Lambert. Gorecki belted his sixth home run of the season, a solo shot in the third. He later added an RBI double in the eighth. Springfield and Tulsa are both 11-6.
