The state’s Tourism Director will step down from his post on August first. But, it probably won’t be the last we’ll hear from the man who has headed Missouri’s tourism efforts for the last four years. Make no mistake, John Robinson loves what he’s doing. But Robinson says, personally, it’s time for a change for him. He says he wants to write a desire that came to a head as he toured the famous “Writer’s Court” in Edinborough, Scotland about a year ago, and saw how young some of the great writers were. Robinson is proud of the the growing tourism legacy he leaves behind, but points out he’s not done yet, has until August 1st before his job is done. Over the spring and summer, he wants to promote Missouri as real start to the Civil War, starting with the Border War with Kansas in 1856.
