Tourism Chief Stepping Down

April 20, 2006 By admin Leave a Comment

State Tourism Director John Robinson is calling it quits. Robinson, who has headed tourism efforts since 2002, will leave the post August 1st. A statement from the State Tourism Commission says Robinson is resigning, but does not give any reason for the departure. Before becoming tourism chief, Robinson served as Chief of Staff to Lieutenant Governors Roger Wilson and Joe Maxwell. And, he became Deputy Chief of Staff when Wilson became Governor following the death of Governor Carnahan in 2000.
