AARP is kicking off a pilot program in Missouri and three other states to improve the driving skills of older drivers. Anita Parran, with AARP Missouri, says older drivers sometimes need a little refresher because they forget the rules of the road. She adds older drivers also have diminished reflexes that could affect the safety of themselves and others on the road. The online course presents the same information as AARP’s in-classroom driver safety program that has been offered for the last 26 years with more than 10-Million participants. If the online pilot program is successful, it will be extended to all states. To get more information, go to www.AARP.org.
