The Missouri football team wrapped up spring practice on Saturday with the annual Black and Gold game. The Black Team (offense) topped the Gold Team (defense) 60-43. The points are awarded on both sides of the ball for things like touchdowns, tackles behind the line of scrimmage, first downs and turnovers. Sophomore to-be, Chase Daniel, was 11-of-12 passing for 120 yards and two touchdowns. Tight end Chase Coffman caught six passes for 66 yards and a touchdown. With the team’s top two running backs out of commission—Tony Temple and Marcus Woods—redshirt freshman Connell Davis carried the load for the Black Team with 11 carries for 44 yards and the only rushing touchdown of the game.

On defense, linebackers Brock Christopher and Chad Washington both recorded two tackles for losses. Washington finished with eight tackles and Christopher had six. Safety William Moore intercepted a Brandon Coleman pass and returned it for a 45 yard touchdown and defensive lineman Stryker Sulak also recorded a pick.
